Strøget (shopping street)

Copenhagen's largest shopping area, is centered around "Strøget", in the heart of the city. Strøget is one of Europe's longest pedestrian streets, with a wealth of shops, from budget-friendly chains, to some of the world's most expensive branded shops. The stretch is 1.1 kilometers long, and starts 5 minutes walk from the hotel, on Kongens Nytorv, and goes all the way up to Rådhuspladsen. Amalienborg

Amalienborg is a must for anyone with an interest in Denmark's royal history and the lives of the royals, who today still live in the palace. At the museum you get to know the history of the royal house, and from the beautiful castle square, which is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, you can see the Life Guards' changing of guard at 12pm. Free Town Christiania

Christiania is a hippie sanctuary in the middle of Copenhagen, and one of Denmark's biggest tourist attractions. The controversial area is loved by many, but has also been the focus of heated debate, due to the residents' liberal attitude to weed & individual lifestyles.

Today, many of the original inhabitants, still live in the collectively governed village, and the area has an unmistakable 70’s aura. About 1000 people live permanently in Christiania, and every year the free town is visited by about half a million guests. The free town is a small 14 minute walk from the hotel. Round tower

Tivoli Gardens

Rosenborg Castle

Rosenborg Castle is located in the King's garden approx. 15 minutes’ walk from the hotel. The Little Mermaid
